Holywell Ward

Holywell Ward is at the heart of Oxford City, and unsuprisingly then it encompasses most of the University colleges - from Christ Church in the South up to Mansfield in the North and along to St. Catz and Magdalen. Holywell is the hustle and bustle of Oxford life. Residents are not just students though, there are about 300 non-students who live in this dynamic area. it also encorporates key Oxford features, namely the Police Station as well as Univeristy Parks, along with High Street shopping.


Holywell Ward: the issues
Like all areas of Oxford, Holywell has some issues that needed to be adressed, from the specific ones such as the dangerous traffic light sytem on the corner of Broadstreet by the bod, to transort issues including the poor state of many of the roads, particualry Merton Street. More general, and equally important issues included the closer of many post offices and the provision of better refuse collection.
