Benjamin Disraeli		Churchill Ward Churchill is one of six wards that form Oxford City’s North East Area. The ward’s western boundary starts at the edge of South Park and ends at the Eastern Bypass. It includes Wood Farm Estate, Little Oxford, The Churchill Hospital and part of the Oxford Brookes campus. The ward is diversely populated, with a steep socio-economic gradient and a high student population. Churchill Ward: the issues Local residents have voiced their worries about vandalism, graffiti, fly tipping and speeding drivers on residential roads. Churchill Conservatives have been running a 'Twenty's the Limit' campaign and have been lobbying the County Council for a feasibility study into the introduction of residential twenty mile per hour zones. Students have raised concerns about street lighting and personal safety. The failure of the Council to properly take into account flats and apartments when introducing the recycling scheme has been particularly criticised.  The onslaught of family homes being converted into flats by developers is also a problem facing the people who live in this area of the City.
